No matter what nail polish you’re using, you should always use a top coat to secure your polish. There are definitely some great and not-so-good top coats but Essie has some awesome options.
Essie’s best top coat polish is by far their Gel Couture Top Coat. It dries quickly and gives a gorgeous gel shine to your nails. It makes your nails look like they were professionally done. Can’t ask for anything better than that!
But if you’re not into this for whatever reason, I highly recommend you check out the Seche Vite topcoat. It smells horrible but is the best top coat I’ve used next to the Essie one.
