As players explore the world of Dredge, they will stumble upon strange black stones on some of the islands. These stones are known as obelisks. They are of the same stone found on Blackstone Isle, where players find the mysterious Collector. Upon finding an obelisk, players get the option to lay their hand on the stone. Nothing will happen unless players have a sufficiently high panic.

In Dredge, panic is represented by the eye at the top of the screen. When the player is out at night or gets attacked, the normally blue eye will turn red. This will trigger certain effects, such as spawning more enemies, creating obstacles, and distorting the screen. When players touch an obelisk with high panic, it will be covered in red runes and they will witness a vision.

The obelisks in Dredge are more of a collectible or fun secret than anything else, but for players seeking to 100% the game or learn more about the lore of the islands, the text revealed in an obelisk can provide some interesting backstory. There are a total of eleven obelisks in Dredge.

If you want to find the obelisks yourself, follow the glowing red beams that pierce into the sky at night. These beams come from obelisks.
